After lived in Singapore for more than 4 years, I knew that booking a ktv on Thursday night for Friday slot is impossible. But what to do. Me and my colleague was craving for a ktv, we need to sing all these office-stress away.
We remember we saw HaveFun ad on FB couple of days ago. They opened a new branch at 313 Somerset. So we decided to walked in to the 4th floor. It was located next to the famous Chinese hot pot restaurant (it’s famous for their long queue!). The small black entrance was hidden from the hallway. That’s why you really need to turn after the Korean Dessert, to that hot pot resto.
HaveFun is a family karaoke place in Singapore. Currently they only have 2 stores at 313 Somerset and Bugis Junction.
Today is the PERFECT day to unleashed my inner blues! And also a perfect day to skip work as well. 〜〜(／￣▽)／〜ф
Flower Dome at Gardens By The Bay was currently having “Blue Beauties” theme which is why I was expecting to bathe myself in blue petals there on Friday afternoon. A bit sad tho, I could only saw about 30% of blue petals. Most of them are purple. Then magenta, white and slight pinkish color. And I didn’t take pictures of all the flowers since 30% of them are the usual habitant of Flower Dome. (￣^￣)ゞ
I know you like purple color flowers ~ or the pics I took ~ or otherwise you wouldn’t clicked on “read more” below^^… But I must remind you before you clicked on that button, please do respect the ownership of those pictures. Thank you. ( ･ω･)☞
so finally I had my very first Cherry Blossoms (🌸さくら🌸) EVER!!!
SAKURA (桜) is a general name for plants that belong to the subfamily of the Rosaceae. the English name for sakura is cherry blossom. Sakura can be written in Chinese characters/kanji (桜), in hiragana (さくら). It is often recognized as a symbol for fragility, grace, and short-lived beauty. Sakura day is celebrated on 27 March. 🌸
there are more than 600 species of sakura in Japan. flowers that have up to 5 petals are called hitoe (一重). flowers that have 5 to 10 petals are called hanyae (半八重). flowers that have more than 10 petals are called yae (八重). 🌸
Every lunch time always see this couple walk around my office. The old gentlemen was bound to the wheelchair while the lady always push the wheelchair everywhere. I also seen the lady sometimes carefully feed her husband. This is a true love.
So today, having unstable mood as I always do lately, I decided to visit a nature reserve at MacRitchie, with a hope that mother nature would lend me some strength. But who knows, this huge park has a lot of macaques!
If you love animals and want to take picture as close as you can, always be alert that these wild animals can always snatch your camera/phone. Don’t make any noise by clicking your tongue or make other funny noises, as they might think you were scaring them off. Don’t step on a dry leaves, as the sound would scared them as well. Be gentle when walking closer towards them. Be extra gentle and don’t make any noise when open your camera/phone. But bear in mind, ALWAYS BE ALERT!
I observed these wild creatures and learned that most of the time they will ignore you if you just walk pass through them without making too much noises and didn’t bring any food or anything that looked like food. If you walk around the park with food or colorful water bottle, just DON’T! They will try to snatch it from you. If you try to defend your food, more macaques will come. Macaques hunt in a group.
Most of the time they are afraid of human as much as human afraid of them. If you scared of them and decided to make a run from them, they will chase after you–it’s a basic instinct of a predator. If you think they are following you, don’t run. Just stop and turn around, look at their eyes. They usually just play around and don’t really trying to chase you. Always be alert of the wild animals. Animals can read human’s emotions and facial expressions.
Since i never want to go to work on my birthday, i took leave today and decided to have a great time with myself. I started with waking up so late. After I had my rainbow cake my colleague bought me yesterday for breakfast, off I went to Shaw Theater to watch Angry Birds. The movie wasn’t so bad, and it has a beautiful moral story.
Around 3PM, I decided to make a move to Gardens By The Bay. They were having Lily shows, called Lilitopia. I am not a fans of Lily, but I am certainly fans of all flowers and animals (I guess). So here are the pictures I took with my Sony phone.
