It’s time for me to review a random movie from YouTube again!
A teenager Vicki was kidnapped by a psychopath couple in Perth, Australia. As a smart teenager she did what she could do to survived any harm by the kidnapper: John, a serial killer man who always hunt young girls to rape and killed, and a Evelyn, submissive woman who would do anything to pleased him. Vicki’s parents took the case on themselves when the local policeman just thought it was a usual teenager’s run-away case.
Even though the plot was quite predictable but I found it very touching how the parents – especially Vicki’s mother’s – never gave up looking for her daughter. The mother’s instinct took her very close to where the daughter being kidnapped. It was a very tense scene on the last 10 minutes before the movie ends I couldn’t help crying with the mother.
This is 2016 movie with 88% score from rotten tomatoes and 6.5/10 from imdb. For me this movie deserves 🐸🐸🐸🐸🐸 out of 5.

This is my very first review for a food, and this is NOT going to make some people happy, but this MIGHT helps you; INDOMIE SALTED EGG INSTANT NOODLE (from Indonesia) is THE WORST instant noodle ever!!!
And you should believe me – because I was born and raised in Indonesia with plenty of instant noodle choices. Some of my favorites are Sarimi Chicken Bawang, Mie Sedap Chicken Broth, Indomie Goreng Barbeque Chicken and Indomie Goreng Rendang. Most of them have standard taste, however they are cheap, easy to make and tasty.
Ok now – go back to this review.
Before I cooked Indomie Salted Egg Instant Noodle, I carefully read some comments and I followed the cooking instruction correctly as follow;
- Boil the noodle (half boiled – not overcooked) dry it and put aside
- Mix the pasta sauce and chili powder on a clean and dry plate
- Put the half-boiled dry noodle to the plate and mix them with mixed sauce (number #2)
- Sprinkle the salted egg dry powder on top of the noodle and mix carefully
What’s wrong with this instant noodle? The ingredients have a very strong and distinctive artificial smell – and they didn’t smell like salted egg at all! When I ate it – the chewy noodle was taste right however the artificial ingredients linger on my mouth and throat – they are the worst. I tried to drink coffee immediately to wash away the horrible taste but it didn’t work… I brushed the teeth and gargled still didn’t work. I literally don’t know how to clean this awful taste on my mouth so I decided to write this post to warn everyone.
If you’re a salted egg maniac – the one who enjoy everything from the real salted egg to salted egg crabs to irvin’s, I beg you please do NOT try this instant noodle – it was far worst from all salted egg food you have ever tasted! [ ± _ ± ]
An outstanding drama about a special family and beautiful friendship; with a lot of challenges in their life. I love how all the people in this movie have good characters to help each others, to make their life more meaningful, to ease their challenges. The actors and actresses are good in acting and interactions. Definitely big thumbs up from me.
Set in the Texas Hill Country, “This Is Where We Live” is a portrait of the Sutton family: Diane, while ignoring her own health issues, is caregiver to her son August, who has cerebral palsy, and her husband, who is in the early stages of Alzheimer’s. Overburdened, she hires Noah, a local handyman, to build a wheelchair ramp up the front steps to the family home. August observes Noah working, and through dinner with the family. Diane notices their connection, and stops Noah as he leaves to ask if he could use some money helping out with August. The friendship that Noah and August forge has a ripple effect; life makes unexpected turns for those around them, and forces Noah to confront his past.

It’s been a while since the last time I
did a movie review found a beautiful random movie on Youtube worth to write a review. And this time I found a very touching movie called The Japanese Wife.
The first thing I love about this movie is how the actor and actress are using their own English accents – Indians use English in their Hindi accents and Japanese use their Japanglish. They didn’t try to look like they mastered their English and as someone whose English is not my mother tongue – I found this brilliant.
This unique love story started a bit slow – how Miyagi, a young Japanese girl, made a pen pal with Snehamoy, an Indian boy, through a magazine. It was amazing how years gone by and they were still good friends – this story line somehow relates so much for me as I still have few pen pals whom I met years back and sometimes we still chat via app. Only on this movie they don’t have smart phones.
The story continues from exchanging gifts from each other countries to exchanged marriage vows and how they are everyday struggling by not seeing each other and finally there were the “third party” who was supposed to challenge their marriage.
I didn’t expect the sad ending though. But there you go. It was surely not easy to have long distance relationship. Every little things are challenges. And all challenges will eventually not bring happiness.
This is 2010 movie with 84% score from rotten tomatoes and 7.6/10 from imdb. For me this movie deserves 🐸🐸🐸🐸🐸 out of 5.

After lived in Singapore for more than 4 years, I knew that booking a ktv on Thursday night for Friday slot is impossible. But what to do. Me and my colleague was craving for a ktv, we need to sing all these office-stress away.
We remember we saw HaveFun ad on FB couple of days ago. They opened a new branch at 313 Somerset. So we decided to walked in to the 4th floor. It was located next to the famous Chinese hot pot restaurant (it’s famous for their long queue!). The small black entrance was hidden from the hallway. That’s why you really need to turn after the Korean Dessert, to that hot pot resto.
HaveFun is a family karaoke place in Singapore. Currently they only have 2 stores at 313 Somerset and Bugis Junction.
This is a simple yet complicated non-romantic J-drama I randomly found from viki. The movie is about a woman who looks back on her family’s life in Tokyo before and during world war II, between 1930s and 1940s, which based on novel “Chiisai Ouchi” by Kyoko Nakajima (published May, 2010 by Bungeishunjū Ltd.). This novel is the 2010 winner of the Naoki Prize.
The story goes like this;
Prior to World War II, in a little house with a red triangular roof in Tokyo, Taki works as a housemaid. The family that lives in the little house consists of 3 members: the husband who works at a toy company, his beautiful wife Tokiko and their five year old son Kyoichi. Taki longs for her employer Tokiko. The husband then hires a young art school graduate named Shoji Itakura. Tokiko and Taki are both excited by the man’s artistic talents. Meanwhile, the war situation deteriorates as well as the relationships in the little house.
This is 2014 movie with 87% score from rotten tomatoes and 7.3/10 from imdb. For me this movie deserves 🐸🐸🐸🐸🐸 out of 5.
What I like about this movie was the ordinary yet catchy story line which tells about a daily life in an old Japan – the woman were still wearing yukata in a wooden house with tatami and shōji door. The woman were very polite, the maid was very loyal and respectful to her master.
This is that kind of historical yet simple movie you could enjoy during a lazy weekend on a rainy days where you have no where to go and your couch was simply too comfy. Sadly I couldn’t find the full movie on YouTube. However please “Click More” to enjoy the trailer; Read more
I found this movie on YouTube when I was randomly looking for a nice drama to kill my boring weekend (my flu kept me on my condo nights after work and during weekend as well!). 3 days after I watched this movie, I watched it again and some scenes still make me smirk and some other scenes make my eyes teary. Even though I usually not fond with romantic drama, but this movie has a unique story line; easy to follow and not boring at all. The library scene was obviously the best. (/∇＼*)｡o○♡
The story starts with a troubled teenager named Rio sells herself as a sex worker to buy herself expensive stuffs. She then met a suicidal middle-aged man with same family name as hers. They both fell in love with each other’s faults. As the story goes on, the man needs a surgery that would probably erase his memory. Their first met during rainy days and this movie also ends with rainy days. Seems like “rain” is essential to find love? (ღ˘⌣˘ღ)
This is highly recommended movie!
Some generous fella posted the soundtrack on YouTube !! Simple melodies like this are work best whenever I need some design ideas at work!ありがとうございます!! (｡･ω･｡)ﾉ♡
